Chai and Pepper Brew Recipes         Heartsong Chai introduces people to the tradition of brewing chai. Through a long and happy brewing session, the vitality and essence of chai develops. In India they call the brewer of chai a "baba" and the seller of chai a "walla". Heartsong Chai hand-ground spice blends are measured into perfect batches and accompanied by easy brewing instructions. The longer you steep, the better the chai!         Below are some of our favorite recipes thus far. Send us your recipe creations and we'll post them here. Below the recipes, more important information about chai, such as sweetening your chai and the type of milk you might use, can be found.         Chai is delicious iced and makes great smoothies and shakes, here are our favorites so far! Use chai concentrate where chai is listed as an ingredient.
Chai Recipes		Cosmic Energy Cocktails Powered by Peppers
Chai, Coconut Milk, & Date Smoothie In a blender combine: * 1/3 can (or less) coconut milk (fresh coconut is also delicious) * 5 pitted dates * 2 handfuls ice * 2 cups chai * 1cup soy milk Banana, Rice Milk, Rooibos Chai Smoothie You can use any variety of chai, but we particularly like the Rooibos. This is our kid friendly smoothie. In a blender combine: * 2 bananas (we like to use frozen ones) * 2 cups chai * 2 cups rice milk * ice is optional... use if your bananas are room temperature Chai Shakes In a blender combine: * 2.5 cups chai * 2 big scoops vanilla ice cream, soy delicious or some sort of frozen wonder Chai "After Dinner Drinks"  Your base should be chai concentrate with your choice of milk, then add your liquor of choice. Our favorite chai mixed drink is the standard Bailey's and cream with chai. Chai is also good with Kahlua, Frangelico, and Amaretto.		Printable Cosmic Energy Cocktails Menu Honey Do Me A hot toddy made with brandy or bourbon mixed with Habañero Honey brew and lemon garnish. Hot Or Not Lynchburg lemonade style drink with Habañero Honey brew, whiskey, triple sec, and a splash of tonic water, lemon garnish. Limonero Habañero Spicy lemon drop with Habañero Honey Brew, citron vodka, triple sec, served with a lemon twist and sugar rim. Captain Jack Habañero Honey Brew and tequila with a grenadine-orange juice float, garnished with a cherry. Bloody Mary Brew  Add Habañero Honey Brew to your favorite Bloody Mary mix and whatever else you deem necessary and enjoy! Twisted Dragon Thai Dragon Tonic mystified with gin, a splash of vodka and a twist of lime. Whiskey Dragon Thai Dragon Tonic bedazzled with a shot of whiskeys, a splash of bubbly water and a twist of lime. Mad Mate Mate Fire with a shot of tequila and a splash of triple sec and lemon garnish  Gin on Fire Mate Fire with a shot of gin and a splash of goldschlager. lemon garnish. Mate Margarita! A margarita made with Mate Fire. Perfect!
