Heartsong Chai

Heartsong offers four varieties of brewed chai concentrates and loose tea spice blend boxes. Two flavors offer a caffeine boost, while the Rooibos Chai and the Hemp Chai are naturally caffeine free. Heartsong Chai is made with organic spices and raw honey. Concentrates are bottled in half-gallon glass jugs. All four varieties of Heartsong Chai are available by the box. Black Tea Chai
        Black Tea's low percentage of caffeine allows the brain sharper mental focus and concentration. Black tea also improves the circulatory system, aiding in digestion and enhancing the immune system.
        In China, in 780 A.D. a man called Lu Yu wrote a book. He called the book the Cha Ching, or "Tea Bible." These writings, widely respected and still published today, speak volumes to the benefits of the Camellia Sinensis plant and its positive effects on people. For nearly 3,000 years, people have painstakingly cultivated and continually consumed mad quantities of Black Tea.
        This is our signature chai, created by hand in the masala (spicy) tradition at the Heartsong Chai Hut in Ashland Oregon .

Yerba Mate Chai
Yerba Mate is a natural source of nutrition and 24 vitamins and minerals and 15 amino acids. An invigorator of the mind and body, it is a stimulant free of side effects and toxicity.
A reputed energizer of body and mind, Yerba Mate is packed with an impressive variety of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants. First enjoyed and cultivated by the Guarani people of South America, this holly plant has long been a staple ingredient in Guarani medicines. Our Yerba Mate is grown on a sustainable 3-generation family farm in Argentina. These organic mate leaves are un-smoked and add a subtle, herbal flavor to the aromatic spiciness of Heartsong Chai.

Rooibos Chai
        A caffeine-free red tea from South Africa, rooibos provides strong relief for allergies, balancing mood, slows viruses and soothes insomnia.
        It is possible people have always enjoyed rooibos. The “Red Bush” is a hearty legume plant that grows in the Cedarburg Mountains of South Africa. For generations, indigenous people of this region have been drinking rooibos tea. Curiously, the Khoisan people say they are the first of all human beings. Indeed, both genetic and archaeological evidence track their lineage back 100,000 years.
        In the 1900s, doctors discovered rooibos to be low in tannins, rich in antioxidants and naturally caffeine free. They began promoting rooibos in Europe as a flavorful alternative to black tea. The robust and earthly sweetness of rooibos compliments the spiciness of Heartsong Chai.

Hemp Chai
Made with organic hemp seeds, this is a full-bodied, nutty, naturally caffeine-free chai that provides essential fatty acids Omega 6 and 3 and is a good source of protein.
Roasted hemp seeds are THC free. You will not get high from this chai! for thousands of years, hemp has been used for food, fiber and more. Oddly, even though our founding fathers grow it, and the original Constitution was written on it, the cultivation of industrial fiber hemp in the U.S. is suppress by law. Heartsong supports active efforts to change these laws, empowering American farmers to participate in this growing market. Our hemp seeds are toasted and organic from our progressive neighbors in Canada.
